I have found that eating whole, unprocessed foods tastes better, and I control the additions like spices, herbs, etc instead of getting sugars and starches. It is more work, but the taste and the weight loss are worth it. What you eat, quality and quantity, is more important than how much you exercise.

Just a few things I have learned in this ever ending battle of the bulge..... 1. Diet is more important than exercise..... like 80-20. 2. Its all about the math. Calories in and calories burned. 3. Record everything. It keeps you self aware. Yes even when you cheat or are bad. Record it! 4. For Gods sake if you cheat, please cheat with good stuff. By that I mean, don't settle for a tasty cake. Go to a great restaurant and order a wonderful desert! I mean come on now. Don't settle for a McDouble when you can have a wonderful meal at a sit down restaurant. Chances are you will take the time to think and order a salad with it. Good luck. God Bless!

You can have delicious, but only if you can still control your calorie intake. CICO.

Delicious does not always equal bad! I've been exploring recipes all over the internet and it is amazing what you can do with the right ingredients and a little time and attention to detail. Yes, it is quite a bit more work than driving thru and grabbing a burger, but the effort can result in truly delicious food that is also healthy and not body-wrecking!

Same here, I’m scared of food, I hate for the scale to go UP!

What has helped me is eating in moderation and keeping around a picture of me at my heaviest - tha t helps keep my mind right when faced with alot of delicious food

What Nidoqueen said. You can have all the rich and full flavors you want, just takes a little more time/work. Even eating out, you can allow yourself to enjoy the experience and still make good choices. And ultimately, even if you see a bump up on that scale, it doesn't matter. Its only a moment in time. Its the longer term trends that matter. Stay focused on the framework of your plan. Don't stress the details and deny yourself joy.
