Okay, I am on day two, week one, phase one of the FF. Can we say bland...ick! Anybody have suggestions for dressing up the food? My stir-fry has no flavor...okay, the ginger and the cayenne but otherwise hello????

The Cider Turkey and Mushrooms last night was WONDERFUL! I am thinking of adding pineapple to the carrot/daikon salad...boring. Luckily I used the "lemonade" flavored flaxseed oil and not original. Original is kinda like dirt flavored.

Suggestions are appreciated.

I use a lot of garlic, onion, and then combos of ff spices. I too found the meals to be bland in the beginning...and the cranwater horrible unless sweetened. BUT there is hope! Your taste buds will adjust! Now if there is salt in a dish, I know and don't really like the taste. Try the lemon chicken recipe....add dill to your chicken or cayenne pepper YUM!

Yes, the FFP is not the best when it comes to flavor. After about 4 days of just eating lean meats with the same boring veggies, I blew it for 2 days. But after eating TACO BELL my stomach hurt, I had gas..sorry, BUT it proved to me eating right does make a difference. I have been doing the FFP right for 10 days minus 3 cheat days. I haven't weighed as too scared BUT I can tell that the BELLY fat looks a little smoother and that ROLL from hell seems a little less hard. SO something is working. So here I sit drinking my warm lemon water and I will also be looking for creative ideas to dress up the meals. I did cut up brussels sprouts and sautee with onions and mushrooms and then drizzled flax oil on top before serving. Did sprinkle spices on top. (I threw in a few pine nuts, well..better than a stick of butter, eh?) Did the same with asparagus.

Spices are your friend... I use fresh garlic in pretty much everything and LOVE Cayenne powder it adds some nice heat and flavor to eggs and main dishes. I make a tuna salad with all three bell peppers for color and taste also garlic powder, cayenne, celery, and cilantro... LOVE CILANTRO! We cook up ground turkey and add cumin, garlic, tomatos, onion, and cilantro this makes a great taco taste and we put it on top of lettuce. My husband whips up some great home aid salsa with fresh tomatos, onion, garlic, cilantro, apple cider vinegar and cayenne you can add it to anything! Sorry for the rambling hope it helps!

I love grilling chicken with a Apple cider marinade and Garlic powder. Apples microwaved with stevia and cinnamon. Lemon tastes great broiled on chicken and fish (NO PEPPER ALLOWED) It will take 28 days for your tastebuds to adjust or 10-15 times of eating something to get use to it. BUT the taste buds to adjust and the food will stop tasting bland. You just have to get rid of your taste for salt... etc
