Starting a 33-hour fast. Breakfast today and then only water/coffee/tea until tomorrow's supper. I am trying to do this every week so that I can fix my metabolism and still lose weight. At first I dreaded the thought of going without food; but now I find it quite easy. I started with intermittent fasting (16:8), and found that I really didn't notice that I was "fasting".
My biggest barrier to a full-on fast has been my bulletproof coffee (BPC). I adore it. I really do. When I did 30+ hour fasts in the past two weeks, I still had to have my BPC in the morning. I am trying to wean myself off sweeteners (much harder than I thought!!) and so the BPC sabotaged any real results I would have had.
I hope I can pull this one off as a true fast. I want to ensure that my body is fueling itself using my fat stores. I just need to stay strong tomorrow. Wish me luck. And strength. And resolve.
Have a great day everyone!

I envy people that can fast. I've read the advantages. However, I must eat within an hour or two of rolling out of bed. Good luck.

I am doing a modified OMAD.
One-Meal-A-Day. I have coffee in the morning and nothing to eat until around 4-ish. (Water with lemon all day.) Then I might have some cheese or an egg, a small salad or a couple of ounces of cold cuts to hold me over until dinner...meat, FAT and green veggies. No eating after 8pm. It’s not easy. I keep busy. It’s worth it to watch the scale and my glucose numbers go down each day and my clothes fit a little different.
