I haven't done a great job tracking my meals, but I HAVE done a pretty good job being careful what I've eaten. We've been doing well the past week and a half. I'm already down 7lbs since just before my surgery (not even two weeks ago). That first two pounds was definitely water weight, considering I didn't eat for 3 days straight in the hospital and then put on only a clear liquid diet for a day before my surgery.

All my eating restrictions have been lifted, and I'll admit, I took advantage of that yesterday. My husband took the two weeks of my recovery off, so yesterday was his last weekday at home (though technically two weeks in on Tuesday). We decided to spend the day out as a family. We went to the mall, ate crappy food at the food court, and took our tyke on those mobile animal cart things. Then we discovered a carnival we had no idea was in town, so the three of us even shared a funnel cake. I came home sore from being on my feet all day, but oh, so very happy.

All in all, it was a great day, and I'm extremely surprised at how much more energy I have had since having my gallbladder out. My blood pressure has been significantly lower, too, and it makes me wonder if this has been an ongoing issue.
