Dear Oceanlady. I don’t like to give much advice because it’s not my place but I have been where you have been and I have Hashimotos thyroid. I have been living on an inflammatory nutrition plan for many years. It has cured me from inflammation and helped with weight loss. Essentially you have to cut out all sugar out of your diet. That means no fruit, no dried fruit, no flavored yoghurt only of Greek yoghurt. No honey, no sugar, no ketchup. Lots of fresh green vegetables and lean protein, fish, chicken breast. Almonds, Walnuts, Green tea. Good luck.
