I've always known that I gain muscle quickly when I start exercising and that it causes me to gain weight but I really thought limiting my calories would help me to lose while also getting in shape. Guess that is not the case. I'm going to keep shooting for 1500 a day and continue training for next year's marathon and just keep truckin'.

It is! I'm very slowly ramping up doing the run walk combo. I went from 20 minute miles at the start to 14:27 yesterday. My goal is a sustained 12 minute mile for long distances. Haven't done a long distance yet though. Working up to that too.

Yes. I'm on Week 3 of an 8 week pre conditioning training plan. After I finish it, I will start a 30 week marathon training plan. The plans were created by Jeff Galloway the run/walk guru.
