9am - What kinda bullshit is that? 0.6kg in a day is a lie. I better be prepared to see the scale going up again soon. It’s fine.

13:29 - Hyped and tired at the same time. Acknowledging my body can’t keep up with my desires is heartbreaking. Fatigue and pain in a vicious cycle. This is too learned isn’t it? How do I train my nervous system to desensitize?

00:28 - I ate too much. It’s not the time that’s a problem; my circadian cycle is fucked up anyway and I’m more awake now than I’ve been most of the day.

The problem is, I was hungry-ish. Not really hungry but hungry enough; with a 1100kcal in the day I was below my minimum goal. (Yes I’ve set a minimum; I’m not willing to startle myself)

But what to eat? I wanted something proteic. I used a promo for one of these cooking boxes; and I’m going to travel Friday so I better use them before then. Decision made, let’s cook a meal.

Potatoes. Too many. Carrots. Too many. Chicken breast. Fig jelly, balsamic vinager & goat cheese.

Yummy. -ish. Why so many potatoes & carrots???

See, I, and lots of people, will just eat whatever is in front of them without thinking. Portion control needs to happen when you put the food in your dish otherwise it’s easy to end up eating too much.

Like I’ve done. I’ve eaten too much. I managed to leave 2oz or so of the potatoes behind. It is particularly difficult to stop eating when satisfied when you grew up hearing it was a "sin" to leave food in the dish. My culture doesn’t allow for waste.

But I did both. I have eaten too much and I also managed to stop successfully without cleaning the dish. I’m feeling too full and like crap but proud because I DID stop.

Ra! Potatoes? Not anymore. I don’t even like them that much.

Lesson learned? Don’t let other people chose your food in your behalf. Not the ingredients, not the portions.

Be prepared for # going up tomorrow! ITS OKAY! Just carry on!!!
