I ate 100 peanut butter M&Ms yesterday and pizza. I asked Mr C to guess how M&Ms I had and he said 41, thinking that he would be overestimating. Ha. Never underestimate a hardcore candy junkie. I was listening to an NPR interview with a singer named Jason Isbell, talking about his alcohol addiction. My problem is the same -- once I start I have a hard time stopping -- except without the obvious devastating consequences. There will be consequences, but they will come later after I gain 40 pounds and go on diabetes meds. So I have to remember today how dizzy, bloated, jittery, and fatigued I felt after bingeing on sugar.
Somehow, I woke up feeling okay and managed a 1-mile walk with my dog. I'm being fairly productive this morning, and I know that if I can stay away from the candy, I'll continue to feel pretty good. I honestly don't know if I can resist.
