Went to the movies last night. I have to admit, the smell of buttered popcorn was heavenly. But no way would I give in and buy any. I'm glad they weren't giving it away free though! Must remember to bring bottled water next time. I'm not paying $4 for water there and I don't like diet sodas. Haven't had a Coke since May but really never drank it much anyway. Sweet tea was my weakness before, but I'm used to unsweetened now.
We saw Inception. Not as good as I was expecting, given the rave reviews it's gotten.

Thanks, JB! I'm gonna hang in there, even if it bounces up every now and then. I feel so much better than I used to. Had a rough week trying to kick my coffee habit, but I think I've about done it.

Way to resist! You're doing awesome! MY friend saw Inception too. She said it creeped her out a little. I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I'll wait for it to come on cable.

Thanks, Rune! I need to pat myself on the back for even these small victories like passing up popcorn. We used to buy the giant tub WITH butter. Yikes. My hub and I were looking at the calorie chart for snacks and fast food. It was horrifying. About "Inception," I should've recognized it as a Christopher Nolan project (mind-bending like his movie "Memento"), but it relied too heavily on shoot-em-up action scenes (like "Dark Knight"). Probably looked like a good idea on paper, but I thought it was tedious. Might be fun to watch in 3D though for the perspective-twisting cool sets.
