I "swam" a solid 29 minutes last night without realizing it. Did it in daylight, too, that was nice. If I'd known I was so close to 30, I would have pushed through, but honestly, I was breathing pretty hard. I don't think the watch measures distance correctly in the endless pool, so we're going to have to stick with time moving and the number of strokes. Music really helped. Since I couldn't do a set, I just swam to each song until I thought my arms would fall off and my lungs would burst.

Actually, I stopped when I felt my stroke getting really sloppy and I got water up my nose for the first time in decades.

I know I'll never be the way I was in high school, but if I can build up enough stamina, I may try my luck at a Masters event and get my butt kicked because there are a lot of ex-champions here in SoCal, but it will give me something to work towards and I am competitive.

I'm thinking about getting the swim pole that goes with the pool. It holds you in the current rather than getting tossed against the side of the pool when you can't keep up. Need a couple of paydays first, but will think about it. I got a demo pool, so can't wait too long because things might change and it won't be available for this model.

Building stairs this weekend. Using the ladder has been fine, but not for other people. Too dangerous.

Weigh in today. Should be interesting, might request a body scan instead of just the scale. I can see the bottom of my rib cage again when I hold my breath. I have abs under the jelly rolls. I'm working on flexibility. I noticed that I changed from red to yellow on here. That's good, I guess. Progress.
