Mirej's Journal, 05 April 2010

I had a nice long weekend, but too short, as we all say...
I'm not even sure what to write about, but I need to do it. TOM came today, that means no gym for at least 2 days until it slows down a little bit. Which is fine because I need rest, so this time, I am somewhat happy about it. Not to be lazy or to avoid gym, but sleeping instead and resting will do me some good.
My weight is not the prettiest number, but I will work things around once TOM is gone. We decided to hit the gym more often, which means every day... one day work on upper body, next day on lower. We used to do this a while ago, so we will give it a try again and push it! I also changed my abs exercice, I feel that the crunches I used to do on the ball with a 10 lbs weight is no longer effective?! ... it's weird!
So now, my legs up in a 90degrees angle and crunch! This one hurt more the last time I did it, so I am positive!

Have a good day everyone! And happy Easter to everyone, I forgot to write this on time! ;)

Hi Mirej! I hear you about getting some rest. TOM paid a visit last night and all I want is to stay in bed lol! Ok, I don't want to be rude or anything, but it seems, looking at your chart, that you are gaining a little bit...I know how hard you worked to reach your goal, and I really want you to be successful. Do you think you should go back to record your food, or like you said, go more often to the gym... I'm only trying to help, if you need support you know I'm here. And I know you can make things work, you proved it before, Mimi the Warrior!

Thanks for the post Anne... there is no rudness in being honest and willing to help someone, rude is the one who says you are looking fine and no need to change... when you know it's not true! None offense taken! I am not sure that I am having the willpower to record my food intake again, I wanted to do it an mentioned it in March at some point, but decided not to. It's time consuming and I'm just not ready for it yet. I will got to gym more often and watch my food a little more, I don't look bad, it's really a number and even though my weight is going up, my body is shaping and looking better, maybe I put up some muscle and I am not aware of it... but I do have strong legs and arms and my butt is getting nicer too... so there is a bit of everything. Thanks for your concern and I will see if I get ready to do the big big thing again, exercise, measure every food intake and watch the food extremely... but for now, there is not enough willpower for ALL that. Baby steps for now only... :)

The chart shows you at the upper end of the range, but you are doing so much exercise that you *must* be replacing fat tissue with muscle tissue and we know that it is heavier. I'm not sure that it is wise to push yourself too hard with the exercise. I used to do the same thing and when I stopped... well you know what happened. In my opinion, the most important thing is to weigh yourself every day and be honest as to why the scale is telling you what it is. I think someone called once that "a dedication to truth," and it's basically all we need at this point. Have a beautiful day my friend.

You're right Mirej, if you're not feeling like recording don't do it because it wouldn't help to force yourself. And like Info said, you might be heavier because of muscles. I should have thought of this of course... More than anything I know after this time spent on FS you know how to manage your food and exercise. A number on the scale is nothing more than a number. what matters is how you feel and how much you like your new body!

Thank you info... and thanks again Anne. I aprpeciate your inputs! Info I will just cut the workout time and go more often... usually I would spend at least 1.5hrs in the gym every second day, so the plan was to go every day and work on upper body one day and lower body the next day, basically that would cut the exercise time in half.... but will see how that is going to work for us! Thanks for the advice :)

If you are struggling, just do what you need to do. I haven't been doing as much exercise this week. The pregnancy has me soooooo tired! I have felt so guilty about it, but I have to remember that this baby is more important than the goal I had. I do still enter my food though. When I don't I tend to eat things I shouldn't lol! Just be true to yourself and I am so glad my TOM doesn't keep me from working out. I feel really bad for people that it affects that way. Big hug to you girl. You still look amazing! But I know what it's like to be so close to your goal, but it feels unattainable!

Awww I had no clue you are prego!!! Congrats!! :)) Eat enough and healthy and exercise when you can... but don't follow the crazy diet... I think these days there is a lot of problems with babies, that you want to make sure your baby gets all the nutrients and the good stuff. :) Hug to you as well and take care of yourself :)))
