MJ's mom's Journal, 19 January 2008

I feel pretty good tonight. It was my moms birthday so I had her and my dad and brother over for supper and cake. They are all big people who love fatty foods but I made a supper and they all seemed to like it. I made Quesidia's (sorry bad speller) with low fat cheese and veggies with salsa and cucumber slices. I also made a traditional birthday cake. The best thing about the cake is I had a small peice and that was that. I didnt have the huge urge to eat more and more and more of it like I usually do. I mean the cake is in the fridge right now and I could care less!!!! Im pretty proud of myself. Ive actually noticed a huge curb in my cravings. I still have cravings but its usually for crackers and lf cheese and pickles and not the usual icecream and potatoe chips. Im suprised how well Ive been handling being around good foods. At my moms house this afternoon they had cookies and chocolates out and instead I ate some cherries. THey were great and I didnt even want the cookies. :)
Just so happy I getting used to eating better.

That's wonderful to hear. It's my sister's birthday coming up and we're going over for cake tonight. I've been craving chocolate so I allow myself about 15 mini chocolate chips which I eat slowly, that really helps.

Thats a great idea! i had one of those cadbury thins the other day when my boyfriend was eating a big choclate bar. :)
