Hope everyone is doing ok...another crappy food day for me, just seem to be hooked on junk right now...I need to reign it in again.

Though I am not too far over my RDI I am eating too much crap and fatty food, which cannot be good for me in the long run, I am gonna lock myself up for a couple of days and avoid going out where I am tempted into the bakers, KFC, MaccyDees etc...Plus I have a dinner with my family on Saturday and we are having Indian food and I want to enjoy it properly...

Still, I am thankful for small mercies and sending out my best wishes and thoughts to all those families who are in agony over the recent fire, the recent Manchester and London attacks and other serious life issues, my battling with burgers and fried chicken seems insignificant...

Best wishes to all...

Neil

It's all about self-restraint and not cheating yourself - I've managed to keep away from fried foods for 20 days as I made a promise to myself, it was difficult at first especially when everyone around is eating it but I managed to stick to it! And now it's so easy to say no as I restrained myself for so long and I won't spoil it! I also have a range of motivational quotes to remind why I'm going through all this!! You can do it!

I'm not worried, just been a weird week work wise and time wise...I have not hugely overeaten either, just a couple of times, so I doubt I will put any pounds on this week, but may not lose my pound, but again that ok as I lost a couple 2-3 weeks ago and 1.8 last week so will retain my 1lb a week average... Thanks for the support Keats and Saaj, very much appreciate the input...

Hi All - I think it's useful to think of the LONG Term and if we fail sometimes remind ourselves we are only human after all - and to put a line under it and move on :)

@LalRenard, indeed, I do take the long view, I am only looking to lose 1lb a week on Avg any more than this is a bonus, I am wanting to have lost 3st 7lbs by next Apr/May ish, that's my 1lb a week target so been doing ok so far, lost a stone before getting back on FS and wanted to get back so I can track my intake and loss better rather than just kind of guessing, and of course for the support and motivation from other folks here at FS, which all helps. Best wishes Neil

Try making one change at a time. Switch an unhealthy food for a healthier substitute, or find a different place to get your takeaways. There's plenty of choice around nowadays.

I'm hooked on junk as well, I find if I plan my days meals in the morning it helps me to stay under target, and I look forward to the next meal, don't dispair stay strong!

Hi everyone, thanks for the input. @MeBoy, I am fine actually, not despairing at all, I am quite ok with it, it is just blip, I have had them before and know I just need to make better choices sometimes, just figure when I am busy, away from home I am more vulnerable to my fast food desires, it's just easy and quick to eat on the go as it were, so I fall for it and sometimes it is actually my best choice and sometimes my only choice, I was leaving one of the offices the other night @2am and nothing much open but McDonald's, needed coffee and food...my tired and greedy head sometimes get the better of me when I am in that place though. @Heidi, I do, kind of, if I am home, but sometimes with my job I may not know I am going out until someone calls me, so sometimes I have to go asap and sometimes it is like, hello. I have a problem, ok I will be there shortly, leaving now, and I can be out all day...can't really plan too much for it as I never know when it will happen, I have snacks I take with me in the car and my bag, but on those particular days I was out/working for around 19 hours and was awake for 23 hours on one of those days, and awake for around 20-21 hours a couple of other days, so again, not really something I could plan for and I was going to bed around 6-7 AM and getting up about 10 AM to start out again, so still tired and to be honest, a coffee was all I could muster, forget about sorting out a brekkie and a lunch, so off to McDonalds for drive by munch...most days it is ok though. I do not really eat a lot of takeaways like Chinese, kebabs, pizza, Indian, I only tend to eat stuff like Mcdees/BK and KFC when I am out and about and have not got a Plan A...I am ok with it really, I know it is not something I do all the time, I just felt like I had been a little more often than I should have... I have ended week equally poorly, had BBQ, which as great, and had a big Indian meal with my family, I have no idea how many cals I ate now, but I am ok with it, I will get back on track tomorrow and carry on as before... Best wishes to all and hope you guys/gals have had a great week and looking forward to the new week ahead. Neil
