Day 21 of new lifestyle, and since I haven't had fast food or soda for all three weeks, I've met my mini-goal (see first journal entry)! After going to fast food for its deliciousness and convenience at least 4 times a week, it was an awful challenge. But, in the end, I've saved a ton of money, and the cravings have dwindled. I'm so proud of myself for giving it up!
Today was weigh-day, even though I've sporadically weighed myself this week, searching for continued motivation. Down another pound, taking me to 250.2! That's 9.8 pounds down from my initial weigh in on December 12th, and most of the weight lost since I was strict in my diet and exercise since January 1st. I'm so happy! 40 pounds overall loss by June is becoming more and more a reality... I'm just about 25% to that goal. 220 by June 2nd? I can do it, if I just stay on track.
Yesterday was an interesting/challenging day for me. I don't know what exactly happened, honestly. I had my usual breakfast, wasn't super hungry around lunch so I just had a spinach and chicken salad and baked chips. Then... around 3, I realized I was starving. OK, not bad, just had a little snack. 4:30 rolls around? STARVING AGAIN. By the time I got off work at 6, I was in no mood to be even talked to, I was so cranky. I almost blew off my work out, just because I didn't want to put in the effort. But, in the end, working out conquered, and I felt better because of it. Had a good dinner, halved the portions, and I was full. I need to get back on track. I need to remember to make sure my lunch is filling, so I don't go through afternoon cranky attacks.
My mom is flying in tomorrow to help me with some wedding errands. Unfortunately, it totally includes cake tastings for the wedding cake. There's no way around it! I'm limiting myself to no more than 2 bites per cake slice, just to taste. No going overboard. Must remember to recruit my mom to help reign me in.
I hope everybody has a lovely Saturday! I'm working today as usual, next two days off. Tomorrow is my measuring tape day... it's been two weeks since initial measurements, hopefully I'll see a small difference!
