Started doing IF last week. Truthfully, it was a little difficult the first day; but by the third day, it was actually pretty easy. I was never much of a breakfast person anyway. So after the first 12 hours after my last meal, I just kept telling myself that every hour I continued, my body was being a fat-burning machine. I have learned to drink my coffee without heavy whipping cream... and I add my MCT oil and collagen hydrolysate to my 4:00PM cup of coffee. I also take a pre-natal multi vitamin with DHA and Biotin daily. I actually have more energy and feel much better on a LCHF diet as opposed to when I am eating rice and pasta. I hardly ever ate them before being diagnosed with gastroparesis...since those items are low-residue, they are supposed to be main staples...but the way they made me feel...and how they attributed to my sky-rocketted weight when I was taking the methylprednisolone, I KNEW that I would be MUCH BETTER OFF cutting them out of my diet!!!
Since caloric intake/food choices are my only means of weight-loss, I thought that I would give IF a try. I'm pleased to announce that the weight is now coming off much faster!! I have to watch my sodium intake, though, because after my last IVIG infusion, I gained 15 pounds in one day from fluid retention...that was a discouraging scale day...lolol...but it has since rectified itself. My abdomen still seems a little distended with fluid, but it is slowly returning to normal as well. Good Luck, everyone!!!

coffee 2 tbsp. coconut oil 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. walden farms coffee creamer. mix it in blender to get that foamy smoothie look. drink it so good. some times instead of the walden farms creamers, I use heavy whipping cream and liquid stevia. This is my breakfast and I'm good for 4 to 5 hours. no hunger.

also if you are doing" IF," you can have regular just coffee in the morning, but if you do bullet proof coffee which can have up to 500 calories in 1 serving, you break the fast. I didn't realize this until I read it the other day on diet doctor.com Good luck.

Thanks! Yeah, I drink plain coffee in the AM and have my bullet coffee around 5ish. I was just using MCT oil and collagen hydrolysate, but it's getting old, and I want to change it up a bit.
