M. Mitchell's Journal, 18 October 2015

Can't wait to get down below the 170's. it's been over a year since I have been there. I have pulled those pants out with my winter clothes and am filled with anticipation. The air is crisp but dry and dusty around here. The sky has been raining a rainbow of crispy leaves and this weekend the smell of hot dogs, hamburgers and anticipation filled the air with homecoming excitement. We spent yesterday photographing young people working on projects for the community like painting, carpentry and yard work. Such enthusiasm and fun! It makes me excited for our future generations.
