The dried, cured meats sabotaged my weight over the past couple of weeks as salt equates to water retention in the body. Upon checking my macros, I found that I exceeded the 1,500 mg sodium daily limit I set for myself. I was up in the 3700 mg range, which is entirely too much.

I'm down 119 pounds year-to-date after limiting cured meats last week. I will only have them a couple of days a week instead of multiple times a day.

I'm shooting for 130 pounds loss before 1/21/2024. Eleven pounds in two months is doable.

No carbs and no sugar is the key to my weight loss journey.

@poppies66 - I could cheat but thar would set me back 2 to 3 weeks. My metabolism is running off of fats at this point since I limit sugar/carbs to under 5 grams a day. Most days, I have no sugar/carbs. The weight is slowly coming off at this point (1 pound/week). At the beginning, I was losing 4 to 5 pounds a week. My body is still adjusting and although I'm not losing weight quickly, my body is still shrinking. I try to take in about 2000-2500 calories per day. That's where my body is the happiest.

@Fritzy 22 - Besides watching what I eat, I lift weights. I don't engage in any cardio. It's a simple plan if you can stick to it.

One more thing I forgot to mention is that I only eat between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Nine hours to eat and 15 hours intermittent fasting.
