I had rode the spin bike today. I had done that for 20 minutes. I honestly feel sore in the knees. When you don't ride it as often, it hurts. I guess that goes to show that I need to ride it every day.

Knees should not hurt during or after cycling. Either your seat is too low or your resistance is too high and your pulling on your knees. Your legs should fully extend but not so much that your feet cannot remain flat in the stirrups. Spin at least 80-90 times per minute, over time your muscles will get stronger and you'll be able to add more resistance.

If your knees hurt on the left or right, that usually means the pedal arms are too wide. Can't really fix that too easily.

Also check your seat position. When your knee is at a 90 deg angle, look down and your knee should be over your foot. Move your seat forward or backward in Micro amounts such that when you begin to see your foot/toes, go back to the previous position.

I'm with outerlimit -- this shouldn't hurt. My husband was quite the cyclist, and he always told me to spin freely at a higher rate at a lower gear
