Looking around early.
For a Christmas Dinner.
I am not a good cook, So I need something easy.
I am on a budget for food, mostly due to inflation.
To feed 3 people.
We do not like chicken.
I know. This is asking a lot.

Last year we had a rack of pork ribs (for 3 people), baked beans, ruffles potato chips, and cheesecake. All store bought.

How about a tuna sandwich and a fruit salad that's not too expensive.

Ham, sweet potatoes and a fresh green veggie like string beans. All fairly inexpensive unless you do that fancy spiral ham, but I’m too cheap.

Well I'm not sure if you family would like it or you have a crockpot, but beef stroganoff's not difficult to make. Bottom beef roast roast can be purchased quite cheapy (about $5 per pound here for black Angus certified on sale) and slow cooked in crockpot it's super tender and then turned into beef stroganoff which has a lovely creamy mouth feel and taste quite fancy and isn't chicken. It can teach you how to make it and it's not a difficult thing to make but it has a taste like it is. 😁 Another nice thing is that you can make it reasonably healthy or a little bit more fancy depending on if you want to go to the Greek yogurt/sour cream route or heavy cream route. As a mushroom lover this is one of my favorites 😍. I have other options too.
