The fact that strength training is the most effective form of exercise for fat loss. Cardio is good for overall health. Cardio is good for endurance. It is not particularly good for fat/weight loss. It is good for burning a lot of calories in a shorter amount of time. But that doesn’t really make much difference in the long run. Because it also trains the body to become more efficient with calories. That means that when you start doing cardio you may burn (I’m just using made up numbers, not factual ones to illustrate my point) 400 calories in a session. But over time, as your body adapts to that stimulus, for the same cardio session you are now only burning 350 calories. How does the body become more efficient with calories? By preserving body fat in favour of lean mass (lean mass/muscle requires calories to maintain. Fat is just stored energy) and by adapting metabolism downward. This is great if food is scarce, but not so good when we’re trying to decrease mass. Strength training, on the other hand, has many beneficial effects, such as improving body composition by increasing lean mass, increasing metabolic rate, strengthening bones, improving hormone profile, improving glucose sensitivity, improves brain health, improves resistance to injury, and more.

There was a photo/meme. It seems to have disappeared 👻 App does funny things 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyway, this is what it said: “STRENGTH TRAINING is the single most effective type of exercise for sustainable FAT LOSS... NOT cardio NOT conditioning NOT HIIT So prioritize strength training 3+ times a week WHILE layering in other forms of physicality for health and longevity purposes for best results.”
