eheh Pasta said it doesn't feel offended 😉 It is wholewheat. This meal is 40g of proteins, 32g of carbs, 16g fats. Thing is I need some carbs during the day. Today I'll reach 38%, still 2% below my target. And still 500Kcal below my needs, to don't lose muscle mass.

I didn't percept him as judgemental. I'm grateful you took my defence, but I think his question was legit. Comments are a powerfull tool to learn, and I need to learn quite a lot at the moment 😅 I'm still strugling to tailor my diet to be honest.

my diet is quite carb heavy as I'm vegan but I'm strict with calorie counting and going on the treadmill so I'm winning slowly but surely

According to something I've read, if you consume less calories than the ones you burn, you'll lose weight, no matter the proportions. But it is not just about this, as the most of us want to lose fat mass and not muscles. Eating refined flours, pasta, white rice etc, will produce sugars that are going to become fat deposit. But apparently wholewheat grains, pasta, rice, quinoa don't works the same way. Sugars are the real issue for what I understood.

Well put, PhoenixTH. There is no need to fear complex carbs. They fuel our bodies and brains and work wonders for our digestive system. Its the simple carbs the cause the sugar spikes .
