So sorry to hear of this loss for you. Find comfort with family...not food if you help it. It is so hard. Again, so sorry.

I'm sorry for your loss and other stresses. Yes, it's acceptable to huddle into a ball and cry. Just enough to get it out of your system. Crying is healthier than loading carbs, and it might even count as exercise.

My condolences. My kids once said “I’ve never seen dad cry “ when my dad’s dog died. Then my dad died, I would go off and just cry and found hope in crying to God. So yes, cry your heart out. ::hugs::

I am so sorry for your loss. you are allowed to crawl into a ball and do whatever needs to happen. It may not make you feel better at the end, but you have permission to grieve however you need to. Think of your dear Uncle, he would not want you to sink though. Think of his children and strive to help them grieve also. He will want what you want, the best thing for you. It is just not a simple thing to lose someone, and yet it is inevitable at some point, for all of us. Reaching out to you with great sympathy. sending strength to you to get through this. There is no time limit and depth for grieving, take care of you please and be strong.

To Rose in Florida ...your uncle who loved you would not want you to hurt yourself with food..this site is great but I needed to deal with the emotions around my eating disorder and for that I needed the 12 steps of Overeaters Anonymous...I suggest you try it ...I am in Daytona...started eating when my mom died 5 years ago..guess what..she was still dead and I had eaten myself into a medical crisis...skinny again now after 90 days on this amazing and free program....OA.org...get to a meeting and talk about what is going on with food..mortality is awful..disorienting and surreal...but you are not alone honey...
