Pantry Alfredo Sauce 1 tablespoon (15ml) extra virgin olive oil 2 each (12g) garlic cloves, peeled 1/4 teaspoons (1g) crushed red pepper flakes (optional) 1 can 15.5oz (439g) white beans, drained and rinsed 3/4 cup (177ml) chicken or vegetable broth 1/2 cup (10g) grated parmesan, plus a little extra for garnish 1/2 teaspoon (1g) salt 1/2 teaspoon (.5g) Italian seasoning pinch of black pepper Dish pan release spray or 2 teaspoons (10 ml) olive oil 4 cups or 1 package (400-500g) whole wheat noodles, cooked (ziti, farfalle, penne, linguine, etc…) fresh parsley or basil for garnish Preparation Combine the pantry alfredo sauce ingredients in a food processor (olive oil, garlic, pepper flakes, beans, broth, parmesan, salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper). Blend until smooth. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sauce and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cooked noodles and coat in the sauce. Heat just until the noodles are hot, about 1-2 minutes. Garnish with parsley or basil and some reserved parmesan before serving.
