Hey where did my comment go??? Grrr. Ty, Becca, it was really delish. Dawnie, they are blood oranges that i ordered from amazon fresh, and i am sad to report they are terrible. Dry and pulpy and not juicy or particularly flavorful. I studied for a semester in France when I was in college, and we used to always get blood oranges there. They were imported from Spain and Israel. Here i always get them whenever i find them and they've always been spectacular... until now. I threw it out and may ask for my money back. But the sandwich was great.

Oh that sucks! There was only 1 fruit stand down in South Florida (Robert is Here) that had good juicy blood oranges. He grew them on his own property. They were very expensive but all the ones I got from the grocery were dry and flavorless :( so it was worth the $10 for 3 oranges every once in a while.  

I totally agree they are worth it (usually). The thing is, I don't usually particularly care for oranges (apples otoh...) but we were poor students in France (the $ was in the dumps) and they were so cheap and intriguing with that vibrant red color, that I ate them all the time. But yeah, these sucked. I bought 5 and tried 2 so far.

That's what we used to call a Dagwood sandwich, based on a character in the newspaper comic strips. LOL, I know that sentence is totally meaningless to some of you. 

Aww I’ve missed you too Jen :) Giving up social media has been such a blessing to my life but I’ve got to keep fat secret :D also I was so excited about blood oranges I for got to ask about Paris! What did you study there? I’ve always dreamed of seeing Versailles and visiting the Louvre  

Ugh i am terrible about following back. I studied French and art history. I used to speak French. I can still understand it to get the general gist, at least when i watched the French version of The Circle, lol. If i had it to do all over again, i woud go to Italy instead. No offense to anyone, but Italian men... 😍. And the food. Forget about it.
