I've lost 5 lbs, in the last week or so. The interesting thing about it is, the only thing I've done is cut back on the size of my meals and snacks. I haven't been able to get back to my low carb lifestyle, yet, but these results will be incorporated into my thought process, when I do begin again. :-)

I decided to give Paleo a try. Its a shift sideways, allows me to have some things I miss, but stops me having other things (like cheese). I am losing weight and will be weighing up the pros and cons. I hope you have good result when you resume your WoE :)

Good to see you! 5 pounds is ok, even cutting back on servings helps. I have to remind myself of that. There are days when I want to eat all the time. It may be that I am missing certain nutrients? Now a days I do a modified low carb. I still watch the carbs, also the sugar, salt, fat, cholesterol and making sure to get enough fiber. Have taken to eating 100% rye bread, Wasa bread for the most part. It's almost impossible to get a 100% whole rye, like we had in Germany. Reading lately that wheat contributes to weight, but who knows? Always something new that may or may not be true. When I write everything down here, I do so much better! Just saying....

Thanks ladies. I've been considering Paleo, as well, but only to the extent that many of their recipes are compatible with Atkins, and will give me some additional variety to choose from. With school winding down, I'll have more time and opportunity to be here more often. Which also means I'll be re-establishing the habit of logging my meals, on a regular basis. Have a great week ladies.

Whatever you choose, ShyGuy, make it something you are sure you can do for the rest of your life. Starting and stopping these "diets" creates the weight yoyo.
