Well I've taken my stats for the beginning of August, and I'm a little bit aggravated. First of all, my weight is fairly stable but it appears I've lost 1/2 inch of height, which puts my body fat % in a DANGEROUS category:
Weight: 146 lbs
Body fat: 40%
Waist: 32.5"
Hips: 39.5"
WHR: .82
Now I realize that the hand-held body fat scanner may not be accurate, and also since the waist-to-hip ration is .82 maybe I shouldn't be so worried. According to research, .85 is still reasonable, but still...40% body fat is literally obese! One of my issues is that I can no longer run (too much back pain), so I need to find some other cardio & walking doesn't appear to be all that effective for me. Then there's weight lifting, which I've dabbled with but have trouble sticking to. Well, yesterday I found this weight lifting routine that is supposed to do some body recomp for pear-shaped women. I'm supposed to go to the gym tonight to get started on it, hopefully hubby will come with me. He bought one of those recumbent bicycles (won't tell you how expensive it was!) & has at least been getting out a few time a week. So maybe he'll go tonight, but if not I'll go without him! The photo says "Empty Gym = Instant Happiness", but some of it got cut off. Sorry about that!
