Back from our stay at the beach. I didn't record food while there as i didn't want to use data on phone as i knew id be using a lot with my UP24 activity tracker. Ate relatively well and I'm pretty sure i stayed within my RDI - although on the higher end. Felt good about the food choices i made - except maybe the alcohol. Hey, hubby and i were alone and enjoying the time to ourselves!

Was able to bike ride a lot. Rode up and down a few hills. Biked in front of the santa cruz beach boardwalk and then along Cliff drive and back. Back to campsite (which was the best site ever overlooking the ocean) and hiked a bit 2.31 mile hike). Took a small break and then later that afternoon took a walk along the beach shore (3.09 miles). Omg. Could barely walk after that. Id forgotten how difficult it is to walk in the sand - until it was time to turn around and come back!

So, I'm anxious for weigh in on friday to see how it all turns out. Fingers crossed!

This saturday is my cycling event. Excited - will be a busy week until then.

Hope everyone enjoyed their mothers day and/or weekend. Have a great week, everyone!

Wow, what a lovely little break!! You're making me wish the days away as I am surprising my husband with a camping trip father's day weekend. We don't have any oceans lol, but we will be going to some scenic forests. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself without worrying too much about food, and you definitely compensated for those drinks in exercise. Never mind what the scale has to say, you're kicking ass. Welcome home!

Sounds like you had a great time, Karen! Good for you for being so active and making the most of the great outdoors. I'm jealous that you are at the stage where you can just get up and go out of town for the weekend. But you two have earned it, so enjoy. We still have two kids' crazy schedules to contend with. I know you can relate to the life of a dance mom. We're coming up on pictures, rehearsals, recital and national competition all in the next 2 months. Ugh!

Thanks, Yolanda! I grew up camping - mainly in the mountains. Always good to get away and relax. Now my relaxation includes hikes, etc. hope you have a great time on your trip coming up! Kristy, I sooo remember those busy times! And I just had one child! Every weekend was spent doing her events or practices or ... It's is now our time. We are happy to be empty nesters and stop ill young enough (and now active and getting healthier) to be able to enjoy it! Now we just have to worry about leaving the animals home and who's gonna watch them. LOL! Miss you!
