Dont you wish sometimes that we could just stop eating?? I mean forever! I really wish that I could go through some FA class and then never have to take a bite of anything again! But, since we physically cannot live with out food, we have to continue to use our "drug" but just not "OD." And we have to do this EVERYDAY! Today wasnt so bad, but the past few days, I have felt myself slipping and "overdosing." When I was 265 pounds, I would go to bed everynight with my stomach feeling stuffed and very uncomfortable. The past 2 or 3 nights, I have felt this way. (Maybe not as stuffed as I used to, but full).
It is such a daily struggle to realize that food will not fulfill me in the way that I need to be fulfilled - the way that only God can. I kind of got off that habit of daily commiting my stuggle to the Lord and laying it at his feet. The truth is, I very easily could end up right back where I was. But, I wont let that happen. He has brought me this far, and he is not done with me. We still have more road left to travel. So, I am commiting today to brush of the dirt from my fall, and continue on this journey. With Jesus as my light, my hope, my strength, and my bread of life - I will lay my stuggle at his feel everyday and let him carry me through this.

Good for you! Hang in there. Some days are just tougher than others. Life gets in the way. We have eat to live and be healthy, not to overindulge in junk.

Hi new buddy! I totally agree! I've thought soooo many times in my life that I wish this temptation wasn't so readily available. Everywhere you go! Alcohol -- don't go to a restaurant or a bar. Drugs -- I don't even know where one would get them, but I'm sure it can be avoided. But food -- it's everywhere, part of every social event, every day, all the time, all year, every year, for the rest of our lives! And everyone indulges in it in one way or another. I just try to keep the "heroin" out of the house, that is, the sweets. I can't resist them, so I just can't have them around.

Your last sentence is the key to everything you wrote and applies to so many different aspects of life, not just food. If you don't mind, I will continue to use your words and apply to many areas of my life. You MUST continue to TRULY believe in your words and you will succeed! You are soooo close to your goal Shell, YOU CAN DO IT!
