Doing well. Feel a bit sick - like the flu. The weather is changing here daily. So I'm going to rest today. Was going to go to the writing class, which was today not yesterday. I went there and they told me it was Wednesdays. I'll join the gym as soon as I feel better. Was going to go in for extra work this evening but not feeling up to it. I'll stay home and write if I can even do that. I lowered my goal weight from 188 to 185. I'm 6'3" so that will be more than thin enough!!! :)

mbhpro - I also have allergies - indoor and outdoor ones so who knows what it is. I'm not feeling that sick just a little under the weather. I was out for a 3 mile walk yesterday and I am allergic to grass so that might have done it as it's still around here in New England! :) Thank goodness my back is better. I am still taking pain meds but there isn't the agony from before. I had an MRI the week before last and there are no broken bones in my spine and no other severe abnormalities thankfully, just arthritis that showed up on the X-ray so I'm taking Vit C, D, Omega 3, Calcium in sugar free Tums so it's not constipating, and a multivitamin and turmeric and ginger for inflammation. Thanks for the kind words -- :)

Back problems are so very painful. My mother has stenosis and two compression fractures in her back and her pain is unbearable. She is in the hospital now trying to get her pain under control. She is 83 years old so not a candidate for surgery. Glad your MRI showed no broken bones! Keep an eye on that arthritis and do whatever you can to ease the pain.

Hope your mother gets well soon. I was a charge nurse years past in Los Angeles in nursing homes so I'm so aware of the problems geriatric patients go through as they age. At least I know as a former nurse medically what to do nutritionally and to exercise as much as I can too. Moving to a warmer climate as soon as I can will help too. Getting on this site and getting my weight completely under control has truly helped. When a person has arthritis excessive weight isn't helpful at all, and now I'm at my ideal body weight for my height, seventy pounds lighter than my highest weight of years ago thanks to all of your help here!!! :)
