Yesterday makes the 10th day that I have been off the long-lasting insulin. Just brief update started off at 25 units and went up to 46 units before finally under control. Now I have lost a total of approximately 138 pounds since June of last year and since I was only using nine units of insulin Dr. told me at the last appointment I could stop but continue to check. Two hours after a meal he wanted my blood sugar to be under 140 I've had nothing higher than 106. Last H1C reading was 5.0 norm for diabetics 7.
Before changing my eating habits my blood pressure constantly ran 140/95 yesterdays reading 110/68. Even though I am on phase 2 (OWL) weight loss has slowed down but still seem to be losing inches.
