Albright777's Journal, 16 September 2008

Well, I am back from a long weekend away with my little girl and my Dad. We went Thursday to Bloomsburg, PA to visit with family. It was a great trip all in all, but pretty stressfull for me. The worry of a potty training 2 1/2 year old on a 5 1/2 hour drive was enough to send me over the edge. She did really well on the way out, it was the way back that she fell asleep and peed. Thank goodness for extra clothes and carseat covers. Because no matter what I did, that girl was NOT wearing a pull-up. I did get some exercise in, but Saturday was the last day I exercised. I cought a cold on Saturday night. It was so bad yesterday, that my Husband had to call off work to take care of Abby. Today I'm feeling somewhat better. Thank Goodness for Tylenol. I pretty much stayed away from junk food too. I had no choice, my family out east is so very health conscious!! I was almost afraid to bring the bologna I brought out for Abby to snack on. LOL. So I didn't gain, but I still can't get rid of this last pound. Maybe after my cold and this crazy hamstring of mine feels better, I can get back to it pretty hard. Right now Abby is taking a nap, and I think I am going to follow her.

Omigosh! What a small world we live in! We are located in the general St. Louis area. My son plays college baseball in the Carolinas. Last spring we made an eight-day trip to see some ball and during the homestand, his team played a team out of BLOOMSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA! They had come down in March from the ice and snow to play in the warm weather. Anyway! Glad you are back - hope your cold is better soon - and most importantly - good luck with the "number one" and "number two" training! Seems like yesterday! There is not even a number for what my twenty-two year old does on the morning after a night out with his "frat boy" buds! Ha!

Hope you're feeling better! I don't envy you with the potty training. That's one of the reasons I have cats instead - litter boxes rock! :)

Hi - Sounds like you are a "hardcore" potty trainer. I have a son that will be 4 October 8th and a 2 year old. I haven't started really potty training her yet. I am getting close. I am still just resting from getting through it with my stubborn son! Sounds like you had a nice trip. Was is hard to stay on track traveling? Laurie
