Not sure why I keep on doing this to myself! I lose a bit and then I become lazy and get more kilos! Let me hope I am doing it correctly this time! With the help of online exercise videos, eg Leslie Sansone cos I wasted my money by joining the gym - just waiting for the contract to finish and not to re-join! Portion control! My 2nd weakness. I eat healthy mostly but still portion control is my problem. What do i do?

Just keep on trying. When we first learn to walk, we fall down a lot. The important thing is that we keep getting back up and trying again. The only way you fail is if you QUIT.

Thanks Debbie, but it's so heartbreaking! I am determined this time. I'm giving it my all. Will get there.

Have you tried measuring your food, @Mamzet? It can be a real eye-opener. Some things you will be able to have a lot more than you thought you could - some things less. You can either measure it using measuring cups or using an inexpensive kitchen scale. It will also help you to be able to record what you eat more accurately. Best wishes for a great week!

The other thing to remember is that weight loss or gain is about calories in and calories out at the end of the day - regardless of the content of those calories (carbs/protein/fat). Some people have great success on low carb high fat because the lack of carbs puts your body in a state of ketosis, forcing it to use body fat available, because there are no carbs available (the easiest source of energy to burn), so you lose weight faster, provided that while in ketosis you somewhat stick to a limit of calories. HOWEVER if ketosis isn't for you, and you can't manage without carbs, if you can stick to an eating plan that limits your amount of calories (which would have an element of portion control) then you can still lose weight ❤️
