Cthulhu's Journal, 14 May 2013

I went with dinner only today, famine then feast. Kind of liked it, evening is by far the toughest time for me, so having what I want and fully enjoying my wife's terrific dinners was fantastic. I could have more calories for the day, but I'm still totally full, so I'll stop where I'm at and see if I can get a useful weigh-in tomorrow.

I'm gonna try this again tomorrow, the dinner only feast thing. I don't know how it will go during the day again, maybe I lucked out today and was able to keep my appetite in check. Try and see. Maybe there's some ancient wisdom to be had here or a fool's errand.

Cycling ids a good thing and it does work. One high day one low day. In saying that however you should not skip meals especially breakfast. I would suggest a couple hundred calories at least for breakfast with some protein and go from there. Skipping is not good. Could actually make your experience negative.

Good luck with your feast and famine approach! (My husband enjoys gourmet cooking so I understand the plan.) It didn't work for me. Be sure to stay aware of your reactions so if it's more like an alcoholic staying in control for the first drink then falling off the wagon the next day, you nip it in the bud and go back to plan. No matter what happens you'll learn more about yourself. If it doesn't work, remember not to beat yourself up - it just didn't work and try something else.
