I've been wanting to get myself off my scale and off my morning soda/doritos breakfast, but just telling myself I want to do it is obviously not enough, so I created a challenge. Hopefully having others "watch" what I'm doing will help me kickstart this. I want to feel better about myself and I let the scale mess with how I feel too much, even if I feel lighter and tighter and my clothes look good, if the scale is up or the same it discourages me for the rest of the day. Last year hubby and I did a no scale challenge and I went 2 full weeks without it and it was so freeing. I'm hoping to feel that way again! The soda/doritos is a comfort food that is not really comforting, it makes me feel bad about myself. I eat them on the way to work, then hide the bag in my trash can at work, like someone is going to yell at me, what do my co-workers care if I stuff my face with doritos on the way to work! Since I've stuck with my morning exercise habit (routine), I felt like it was time to make some other changes to make me feel good about myself :)

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's eaten something then hidden the bag in the trash can. I need to stop that too. Mine isn't doritos it's sweets, but the same concept. I need to do away with soda too, but I just can't seem to stick with water only. Good luck with the challenge!!

You have Cassy's!?!?! I miss Cassys. We had them all around us before I moved. Heck my mom was the donut lady at one when I was in high school. I miss the breakfast pizza. Can you tell I joined the challenge? lol I do the same thing when it comes to hiding things in the trash. Or if I eat more than one of something I will stuff all the wrappers in the box so it looks like I only ate one.. you can't see the 4 empty wrappers if they're all in the box!

There's a Casey's 2 blocks from my house and I pass another on the way to work! They are all around us here. Is it an Illinois thing? Poop I created my challenge, it finally let me, but now I can't find it. It doesn't pop up under My Challenges or when I search for it under challenges. I'll email tech people, hope I don't have to redo the whole thing!! I get tired of water too, but I love unsweetened brewed tea, so I switch to that when I'm sick of water. Might have to start drinking tea in the morning. Duh why haven't I done that before?!?

We have tons of Casey's here in Nebraska too. There is one close to my house, but I'm too cheap to go in the morning to get something to eat, so I can avoid it. The free donuts that people bring here to the office are another story. I'll have to try more tea too, I like unsweetened brewed tea too. Maybe I need to invest in some new bottles.

I hear ya! It's like I'm wallowing in my terrible feelings - I feel fat, I eat junk(emotional eating), I feel worse, and instead of going on a walk or run or somehow burning off that negative energy I eat more junk... like a pig stuck in the mud. Let's break the cycle! Make conscious effort to put GOOD HEALTHY FOOD in our mouths. - For me its the blended sugary coffee drinks - augh, who am I kidding- I may as well go to DQ and get a blizzard!
I can't do the 'no scale' challenge just because I already committed to a friend to do weekly 'weigh-ins' to hold each other accountable. But I'm going to join your challenge for the rest of it! Best of luck! We can do it!!
