Yes, I wake up at midnight and most of the nights I am wide awake, I just don't feel tired, but after a couple of nights without a good sleep I feel tired during the day and I am not good at taking naps either, probably I am going to sleep good tonight. 😊🙏 I need to stop using my phone at night, yesterday I didn't check my Facebook or Instagram, only FatSecret.

...and this quality content is why I love all of you so much! I really haven't felt well at all and I have been having the opposite problem...sleeping 14-15 hours all broke up into 4-5 hour chunks. I normally do have insomnia and actually take meds for it because I won't sleep at all if I don't. It started out as just a migraine med but doc upped the dose when he found out I wasn't sleeping. It took a little trial and error because if I take too much I get real dumb so I have to take a fairly small dose but it generally works. When it doesn't it's generally two things...stress and the cell phone. If I don't put it down I will be up until the son goes to work (he leaves just after 4am). Silly thing is as soon as I "know" he's made it off to work I can fall asleep in seconds lol. I hear the door open and the car start and then don't hear the car leave the driveway lol. Stressing about things I can't control is the other way I "avoid" sleep, this one is harder to stop but if I try to think about my successes instead of my failures I can usually drop off. The big thing is to try not to sleep to late after I've been up all night. I set my alarms for early (give myself 5-6 hours sleep) but it doesn't always work. So just like weight loss...you have to keep trying things until you find something that works for you and what works for you might not work for others. :)

Very true Katie’s. People suggested various things to me about sleep which did NOT work. I had to find my own way. So glad I did. Hard to think now that I didn’t sleep well one time. I know how it is to think about children...and hubbys and aging parents. But nighttime worries seldom change anyone or any thing.

Sorry if I didn't see it J in the the comments below, you try melatonin? It's natural made by your body and it decreases as we age. I take it on and off..has done me good.

I did not use it after 7, I went to bed before 9:00. Well, I had to touch it, just to put my bedtime music, I also need some kind of noise to fall asleep 😶☺

I go to bed early as well. I’m up at 5:30-6 every morning. If everyone else is up, I also like sound to drown them out so I turn on the fan. LOL! Growing up, in my teens, I always slept with music on. Funny the things we get used to. 😂
