Thanks rosio! I appreciate your support. Different things work for different people and just counting calories is much less effective for me. I have a much more difficult time controlling what I eat when I include carbs and junk.

We all have our own unique fingerprints and that includes our genetic DNA. We're all made differently and our bodies process food differently. Find what works for you and stick with it. I have lost weight both ways but LCHF fixed my blood numbers within 3 months (normal ranges across the board) and they are better than they ever were when I was 50 pounds lighter than present day and on a low calorie, low fat diet.

If your going to the gym you may be building muscle, which weighs more--the important thing is how do you feel?? If you feel good in your clothes then don't sweat some numbers on a scale. (you're allowed a free pass for Thanksgiving too :)

With carbs you might not lose weight as fast as with low carb but remember sustainability is key in this game. do you think a low carb diet is sustainable for your lifestyle?

Thanks so much rosio! I don’t plan to eat LCHF every day every meal for the rest of my life but I think if I can stick to it 80% of the time I’ll be successful. I overall feel healthier and better eating that way so that helps me want to stick with it.

What amount of protein are you aiming for as you work out - have you increased it to account for what you're burning? Adding dark leafy greens (for iron) may help - just my experience.
