What I have noticed during my journey is that people are watching. Whether we like it or not. Some people are watching because we have asked them to help keep us accountable and some people are watching because they wish they had the strength to be like us. One of those people was watching me today. I work with her and over the last month she has lost 4 pounds. I have celebrated every pound with her. Today one of my preschoolers had a birthday (I am a preschool teacher) and the parent brought in a watermelon and cookies. We cut up the watermelon and gave out the cookies. During that time she was watching to see if I would eat a cookie. Boy did they look good and I was tempted but I didn't because I didn't know the calories of them or the ingredients so I passed them out and closed the box. She told me later that she was watching to see what I would do and if I had eaten a cookie she was going to also. So my actions today saved someone who is just starting a bunch of calories. My hope is that someday someone will be able to watch her and have the same reaction.

people at work watch me like hawks. If I have a coffee one person asks....''Is that on your points?'' Another will ask ''Mcdonald's again?'' Even though I'm waking by with a happy meal box which has apple slices and yogurt and grilled chicken....and a low calorie TOY....It's provoking me to work harder because they are all negative....hardly one good comment in a day. I like reading your posts because at the end of the day, people on here are real, kind and hopeful. That's how I want to tell people I lost weight..... By talking to real, kind and hopeful people... And enjoy people's response of confusion at the concept.
