Our 17 yr. old finally called his mom. He told her that he has no intentions of returning to our home or hers and that he plans to live with some "friends", get a job, and enroll himself back into the school we took him out of last year. Of course this is a specialty art school so re-enrolling isn't an option for him. lol
At any rate, he is trying to hide from his parents and has so far moved locations twice. We finally decided not to chase after him and let him figure things out of his own. My biggest relief is knowing he's alright and is just searching for his independance, no matter HOW STUPID his decisions are! lol
His mom wants him back so that he can finish the school year. We'll see. I'm hoping that within the week he'll figure out he can't do much on his own and decide to go back to his mom's. He has no job or money.
In the meantime, I've TEMPORARILY gained 5 pounds! Yes, 5. Gonna force the water down this week. I'm feeling a little blah today so will need to put some extra 'umph' in my efforts. Also, we're entering pressure time, here at work, for getting taxes done. My boss has been a little cranky. lol He is excused, however, as his wife has been taking chemo for breast cancer. She had her 2nd treatment last week and is just now starting to feel some pain in her joints, which adds stress to his workload.
My husband starts his new job today. I'm excited for him.
I do know God has been answering our prayers, so I know everything will be alright and will work out in it's own time.
We could sure use extra prayers right now. Thanks for all your support and words of encouragement. I think I need it today. =)
