baskington's Journal, 30 August 2018

I think I got this with the picture thing. I can not crop the picture too skinny or it rejects it. As you can see I am still a work in progress, my middle is a big trouble area still. Hoping to melt most of that off next month. Total loss is around 26 pounds I lost a few before I signed up here.

Woke up sore this morning in my shortened calf muscle leg. that peddle machine I was on definitely stretched that muscle. Which is a good thing but I may not get on my cardio bike to give it a break. Today is heavy resistance day and I am trying to not have such a big calorie deficit to allow my body to heal from all the extra work and low calories. I ate a little over my Maintenance RDI yesterday but under it about 100 calories when I add back in the exercise. My body rewarded me with dropping some of the water weight.

I was due another drop before it hit me with the water gain so it will be interesting to see which way it goes today.I don't know yet how close to maintenance I will be today, my overall may be close to what it was yesterday.

I was not overly hungry this morning but I fried up my steak and ate about half. I will have the other half when I get hungry later today. Lighter dinner most nights.

I am going to surprise my husband with a pork roast today, two days of non keto meals for him. Ha! He won't know what to do with himself. A little spoiling, he has been a good sport about my new way of eating.

You look fantastic! And yes, at our age it's tough to tighten saggy skin. Even so, it doesn't take away from how good you look! When people who haven't seen me for awhile say to me you look great. I usually respond thank you but only dressed and standing up LOL

My middle is the Bain of my existence too! Lost 90 lbs and lost it everywhere but my middle! It’s getting smaller now but sooo slow! You look great!

I'm underweight, but still have 'fat pockets'. I can pinch my tummy, but my ribs are obscenely visible and fatless. Very unbalanced.

Thanks! I don't quite qualify for "skinny fat" yet, but a few more lbs would do it. I really gotta start lifting.

I found that my love handles and belly area started to shrink some when I walked a lot and started eating more protein and less junk. I noticed a lot more leaving after I started resistance training. Just small 3# weights at home, dancing, piggy back rides for my kids etc. I haven’t noticed as much leaving now that I’m actually suing the weight machines but the front tummy is already fairly flat. Love handles love me and that last bit is hanging on. I think it takes a bit of everything: diet, cardio AND weights to shrink the mid section at least for me. You’ll get there! Just takes hard work, time and patience(of which I have very little haha).

thanks Peeperjj, I am getting there. Been looking for a decent compression garment to hopefully help tighten all that loose skin but nothing looks ideal for me. probably a waste but it was a thought!
