I’ve been doing the keto diet since April, and have actually been getting light-headed and blacking out a little at work lately. Yesterday, I drank a fruit smoothie with unsweetened almond milk and protein powder - you would have thought I’d injected myself with caffeine. I also dropped 1.2 lbs from yesterday somehow?! So I’m going on a juice cleanse for three days, which I’m sure will be a nice break for my kidneys after being keto for so long. If my weight goes back up, I’m headed right back to keto. :) be blessed, everyone.

I went to look at your food log to see what you were doing, but there is nothing there. sometimes it takes a while to adjust your normal recipes to low carb and if you haven't investigated some online keto recipes you could be missing out on important foods. Keto is just like any other diet plan, you need balance and real foods. while I understand many add some oil or butter to their coffee, it can not replace a nice egg omelete with some cheese and spinach.Just a sample but there are so many healthy options for meals that you can plan out so you get your veggies and high quality foods.

Thank you :). I’ve lost over 50 lbs with keto (no cheat days) this year, and switched to a juice/smoothie cleanse just this week to give my poor kidneys a break and get some energy back. If I see my weight going back up, I know just what to do, though. Thanks again for the advice.

You've done great so far, your kidneys are probably fine if you don't have any existing medical conditions. Maybe talk to your doctor or get some labs done. I assume you drink lots of water? Electrolyte balance is hard part of keto. I used to drink a cup of broth here and there..

and if you let your calories go too low you can get light headed, when I work out too much and don't eat enough the same happens to me. great work on the weight loss.
