bad night in Autismland, I really needed a coffee this morning. I am liking the gazelle glider that I have been using. The no impact almost feels like cheating but I feel like I am getting a good workout.
Someone else posted about how they don't "work out" much but from what they post about activities they certainly burn a ton of calories. Don't short change the little things during your day that can all add up. Park farther from the door when you go shopping, take a couple extra trips up and down the stairs with the laundry, dance like a crazy fool with the kids to Kidzbop.
I rarely make it to the gym and almost never have time for videos or long runs but I get a few steps in. Just move whatever way you can, your body will thank you.
Have a fabulous weekend!

I like my gazelle Nichol. Actually it's not mine more or less loan from a DD who needed some extra space and wasn't using it, I've had it now for 7 years, LOL. I'm missing it at the moment because it is un-usaeable until I get things moved back to the part of the basement that had flooded. I can't even get to it! AWWW sorry about your bad evening, hope things are better today

All good tips on how to 'incorporate' exercise in a non-exercise environment . . . I work from home and am trying to 'jog' my stairs anytime I go up/down (provided I don't have an armful of laundry, that is)! You have a GREAT weekend, too!

I'm sorry about rough evening, and your right little things do add up I try and take the stairs where I go and here at work I run up them every time I need to go upstairs, there are 22 of them yes I counted. I hope you have a wonderful weekend Nic :)

Thanks for reaffirming that my daily activity is called exercise. Gym time is out of the question for me but I try to move as much as I can throughout the day. Your tips are great. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Glad you are liking the Gazelle - I think it is fun especially when I used to listen to music

I so feel you Nic! Been there plenty of times with my son no matter what the issue ultimately is. It is rarely fun when an issue becomes an event. *hugs*

So sorry Nicholaix about the bad night. I think the Gazelle looks relaxing to do.

well, I know I can't work out, but I burn a load of calories just gardening and doing some house cleaning - and working on my laptop - or at least that is what the calculator thingie says. Definitely, small things add up, and don't forget, we DO use calories simply by existing. The rule is still "less in than out", no matter if you work out or not.

What is a Gazelle Glider?

small things do add up!! For me strength training is a must due to osteo arthrits and the regular kind due to old injuries.

Ah, the struggle is real with Autism. I love how you took the time to post upbeat thoughts and tips even with a rough night. We are Strong and definitely can do this! Sending happy thoughts your way.

A Gazelle Glider is one of these http://www.vminnovations.com/sys/resource.ashx?guid=f63883be71d74686a27cbb543863132a. I have a similar glider but the handles are higher - that is the only workout machine my spine and pain management doctor allowed me to use.
