bigbassbrent's Journal, 08 October 2014

Hey everyone!! Recently I have been preoccupied with family, work, purchasing a new vehicle and all the other good ol day to day stuff. I'm still logging my food and trying to improve myself every day. I just haven’t had the time to journal or read many of your journals. I feel bad about that. You all have become people I care about. I just wanted to say "hi" to everyone. I hope you all are doing well with your efforts. Take care, all of you awesome people!

Thanks guys. I made a vehicle decision and got a RAM 1500 truck with a HEMI. :) I traded in my almost 15 year old ford F250 diesel. I think I am going to be happy with this purchase. It is my first Crysler/Dodge vehicle. It rides like a cadillac compared to my old truck!

Oh yes the Dodge does ride much better and is generally better on fuel. I assume you have a boat and that is the largest thing you pull so you should be in great shape. I have a Ford 1 ton dually and it rides like a tractor and sucks fuel like I do tequila but it will pull a 40 foot trailer loaded with bucking bulls up a hill and not get below 50 MPH. And its paid for :) What color is it? I am living vicariously if you wander... I'd love a new vehicle :(

@alex, the ride is incredible compared to my 2002 F250 4x4. It rode like you describe yours. And I was spending two hours a day in it only getting 13mpg. That truck was overkill for just pulling my bass boat but I bought it when diesel was cheap so it was a good investment at the time. Not so much now. So far with the 2 wheel drive ram, I am seeing around 19mpg. I am happy with that part! The color I got is called Granite Crystal Metallic. It's a dark grey with a very subtle hint of maroon in the right lighting. I am totally happy with it so far!
