4:45 AM and I'm up listening to my dog chase rabbits in her sleep. The leg is better and now I have swelling on a knuckle of my right hand. :( What is going on? Could I be over 50? Nah! That can't be it. (I believe it's unrelated. Spent two hours cutting steel two days ago.)

I hop on the bus at 5:30 tonight to pick up a car in Edmonton. Redeye. No fun. I'll ply myself with bengay. I'll be the smelly ol' guy on the bus - that way I get a seat to myself. Yay! Nearest airport is 2 hours away so there's no point starting from there since the times don't line up and if I took my truck I'd be two hours from my truck and have to figure out how to get it home. sigh

On the upside, I just found a recipe that I can use for premade fuel on the way there. Chinese crepe stuffed with egg, ham, chicken, and cheese. Jian Bing cordon bleu anyone? :)

You are an early riser! The only reason I get up at 4:45 is to go to the bathroom. I guess you do what you have to do. Have you tried Aspercreme on that swollen Knuckle?

Sorry to hear about your hand, glad your dog is better. Be safe on your travels, and I think you have a good plan with the bengay. The recipe sounds very good, let me know how it turns out please. Have a great day

old man, don't you know you should start thinking about a walking cane and a beard, right?

Denial is more then a river. Yeah, you're getting old. Accept it. :~)

Sherrie. Here's the recipe. 2 tbsp flour or millet (use what you want) about 2 tbsp of milk, a little salt. Whisk and add liquid to a cream consistency. Fry the crepe in a 6" pan and spread it over the entire pan. When it's done on side one, flip it an pour a whisked egg over it. Use any spices you might like with egg. Throw what you want on one half of it, cheese, ham, chicken chunks and when the egg is almost set, flip half of the crepe over to form a taco wedge. The two halves will stick together. Eat it hot, or cool it, wrap it, and throw it in your backpack. The egg and crepe without the other stuff is only about 150 cals. @diehard3 Not by choice. Aspercreme is great. I'll pick some up. @puhpine I have the beard. I broke an ankle at 20 and was told I'd be walking with a cane by 40. Silly doctor. @Rocker *sticks out tongue*

Oh, I've submitted that recipe for publication here. Not sure when it might show up.

Hmmm. Weird... should consider getting that stuff looked at. Could it be an allergic reaction to something? Anyway... enjoy your "fuel", sounds pretty good. :D
