-your life is your alone, rise up and live it-

It is my life motto, but recently i have been forgetting my own words. Life is stressful to say the least, you wake up, rush your kid to school, then you quickly do some housework before you must be off to the gym or to work or both in sequence... then you pick your kid up, having all his friends over, calming fights, do some voluntary work, do some more homework, talk to hubbie about work, take care of the animal, go into the kitchen and cook, eat, teach kid tablemanners, talk to hubbie some more about work, do some housework, sit down for 5 minutes, then it is time to put the kid to bed, and then you finally think you are going to sit down, but no... hubbie-time!!! Then at 10 o'clock hubbie goes to bed, and i finally have some me-time...

so what exactly is "mine" about this life? Sure i could make the choice not to go to the gym, that gives me 1.5 hour per day, but then ... look at my weightgraph, it is not really an option to go back, is it?

I am looking at the first un-editted printed copy of my book. cover is not finished yet, and i am still unsure about the title, but to see my creation in front of me, so tangible.

THAT, right there, that is mine!

Well do I remember those days! Sorry there is so little time for you, but your book is a HUGE accomplishment! It gets better!

WTG on the book! Good luck with it. What kind of book is it? PM me if you want to discuss... I self-pubbed last year. Sales have been miniscule (look up "Fyrelocke" on Amazon), but I'm still quite proud. BEST WISHES on rising up and living life, as always, Maud! :D

I totally get your stress, I feel it with you. Yes, gym time is YOU time, it is for you and for your health. But... you need peace and quiet YOU time too. I have the same difficulty with balancing kids, work, hubbie, and ME time. There are some days I honestly pretend to be asleep with the hopes other people will go to bed and LEAVE ME ALONE!

WHAT is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare?— No time to stand beneath the boughs, And stare as long as sheep and cows: No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass: No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night: No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance: No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began? A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.

Congrats on finishing your book! That is a great accomplishment that, as you say, is yours.

It is hard to get everything in. I think life does give us choices, some are pretty much responsibilities. While others are made for us. Just do your best! You are the only one that is you! You are unique in every way! And, we are all much stronger than we think! Remember that! Many of us have to regain our power back, one small stepping stone at a time! Hold on tight, you will get there! Be the inspiration to others, what you would want for yourself to be! And, don't be too hard on yourself! Tomorrow, is always a brand new day!

I think 1/5 hours at the gym is over the top and unnecessary.. message Kingkeld an learn his program.. it works and will cut down gym time by 2/3 and stillget the same resutls

I don't think that 1.5 hours at the gym is over the top. Especially if that includes travel/change/shower time, which if you read her statement probably does. PLUS, that is time that she gets to control what she does and how she does it without having to answer to anyone else. MOMS DESPERATLEY NEED THAT. KUDOS to Puhpine for not letting that go. Perhaps I am getting defensive for no reason, perhaps the comment was meant to be encouraging, but 1.5 hours is not over the top by any means. From the moment you start to show when you are pregnant, everyone seems to think they know better how to run your life than you. We should be encouraging, not judgmental. I think Ekaterini gets it exactly right. We have to gain our power back one small stepping stone at a time. Good luck with your book Puhpine!

I too remember those days. i had to find a way to find my sanity therapy as my kids later called it. I lived in the country and had a huge garden that I had little help with from the family. I found that physical work, peace, and simple pleasure in growing food settled my mind and helped me cope with the rest of my life. 3 active daughters, worked full time, husband who didn't do much to help, by summers end had the 2 big freezers full and hundreds of jars canned from the garden. The garden and then processing the harvest was my me time. one of my daughters now uses her driving time and gym time as her me time. she has 2 boys one with a speech handicap.

We are all entitled to an opinion nobody can deny that it is a basic human right but sadly opinions are like A***holes.........every body has one. The secret to having an opinion is to know when to voice it and when to shut up and keep it to yourself. We also have a right to freedom of choice and being adults we do not need consent or approval from anyone so if a person wishes to spend all day doing something like the Gym (or anything else for that matter) then nobody but nobody has the right to criticize that decision or for that matter to voice an opinion about it as if this is done it is in fact attempting to tell the person concerned that they are wrong in doing whatever it was. The person can not be wrong it was and is their god given right to do whatever they wish as long as it does not interfere with any other living person. I think opinions when given without being requested are in fact an insult and should be kept to ones self.
