Good homemade recipe that has been passed to me from many generations.
Ingredients
Directions
- Brown and drain beef.
- Add onion, green pepper, garlic and chili powder. Stir this really good and let sauté for a few minutes.
- Then add in tomato paste, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add red beans and water. Bring to a good simmer and then add the brown sugar (to your taste).
- Simmer on low for about 1 hour.
- Serve hot with a little grated sharp cheddar and lite sour cream.
