A healthy alternative to the chocolate chip cookie.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- In a large mixing bowl add whole wheat pastry flour, salt and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, add apple sauce, egg whites, sweetener and vanilla extract. Mix together.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the pastry flour, and then mix them together (You may have to add a little water).
- After the cookie dough is combined, add the unsweetened carob chips and mix.
- Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and form about 9 cookies on the sheet.
- Cook in oven for 8 minutes.
