A dear, sweet friend gave us a bag of home grown tomatoes. About half had gotten mushed and had split, so guess who's scarfing another one down every time she walks in the kitchen? Can't let them go to waste, right? The sacrifices I make... ;-)

FINALLY! I found a high protein, unsweetened, nondairy yogurt locally. I have some cashew yogurt and homemade soy yogurt to use up first before I open this, but I'm really looking forward to trying it.

Camping did me in this week, despite getting some hiking in the mix. Way too much trail mix, way too much eating to pass the time. This is only a 2-day average, not my usual 7, so I was tempted not to post it, but I'm trying to keep myself accountable by checking in here every Sunday.
Good news is, my body seems to really like 133 pounds now. When I drift above it like this, I get less hungry. Goal for now is to maintain while also becoming more fit. I stayed comfortably at 150 for a long time in 2020 before dropping down to this weight. Almost like I was resetting my set point before pushing it down further. Hoping to do the same here.
I saw there was a study that for every kilo lost, your appetite goes up by 100 calories. Also had a friend tell me your body will always the rest of your life, want the same number of calories needed to maintain the highest body weight you ever reached. I'm having a hard time believing either of those. At no point in my current journey have I been hungry, beyond being appropriately so before meals. I've changed my diet composition considerably, but I never went to bed hungry or had to find strategies to distract myself from hunger. I'm beginning to wonder if other people have had this experience, or if I'm just some very special unicorn.

Had homemade apple pie in the fridge I could have had for breakfast (did yesterday), but I was genuinely craving something healthier. Taste buds do indeed follow your dietary changes. Eat healthy long enough, and it becomes your default and preference
