Lose Fat and still Build Muscle?
i wrote this in an old topic but it still holds true now, im losing weight (body fat) and gaining muscles, it can be done just the weight loss is very gradual. i havent looked in to it in huge depth but what ive found is that eating as much protein and fibre as i can while staying clear of fats and only eating what i consider "good" carbs and thats working for me. i guess its about 50/60 carbs 40/30 protein and 10/15 fats usually about that anyway on a 1700-2000 cal per day. im sure you will get others that have their own ideas or have research into it more than me but i just used what i thought was a good idea and its working the scales are going down and the muscles are visibly growing as well as im putting the weights on heavier at the gym. by the way i go to the gym 5-6 times a week for about an hour a day and do yoga 6-7 a week for 30mins to an hour and a half.

protein
it depends on gender, current weight and if your looking to grow muscle? the general rule if your looking to grow muscle mass then about 1 or 2 grams of protein per lb of weight you are. otherwise if its just for good health about 80-100g of protein.
