Hi. I am old and fat and have been on every diet there is, some with amazing success. Others frustratingly slow. Now I take medication(s), including prednisone, that make it that much more difficult (as does age). Anyway, I tend toward the low carbohydrates or low GI diets because they seem more staisfying to me. My best quick weight loss ever was 36 pounds in 6 weeks on the Provida diet, but I was very short-term goal directed (my daughter's wedding) and it was a really difficult diet to follow. I actually dreaded eating the prescribed meals. So - here I am again, trying to find that magic something that kicks in the motivation. Once motivated, I can stick to a plan quite well. It is just so frustrating with the slow, slow weight loss I have experienced in recent years. I even thought of doing one diet one week, then switching to another one the next. Has anybody tried this? Other bio info. Have two grown children, three grandsons and three grandaughters. My daughter and her brood live near me. The grandaughters live in Mexico with my son and his wife. I am a county employee and serve a population of mentally ill children and their families. I have worked in the same office with the same wonderful people for about 24 years now.
