My health recovered but I'm still taking medications. I started jogging again yesterday after not being able to jog for 5 days.
It's a challenge going back to square one with jogging.

Last year, I can lose 3-5kgs in a week (without exercise) just by restricting my calorie intake. However, the moment I started eating more than my supposed intake (due to stress, depression, hypothyroidism and carb intolerance), I gained 21.7kgs within 6 months. This got me even more depressed. All those calorie counting for months gone to waste in just a blink!
Now, I realized how important exercise is and gaining muscles in the process. This time with exercise, I lose only an average of 1-2kgs per week. Losing weight is a little slower compared to before because I'm losing fat, water weight and gaining muscles at the same time. Most days I'd go breakeven on the scale. This is why I don't step on the scale everyday anymore. However with exercise, I sleep better, I feel better, my mood has greatly improved unlike before that I'm always irritated. I also get barely stressed with my 9-hour desk job.
I tell myself that no matter how slow my progress with weight loss due to exercise, I know that what I'm doing is for my well-being and is for the long run.
